Donald M. Follett, age 86 of White Cloud, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters in Jerome, Michigan on Sunday, July 2, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Scott Follett. He is survived by his wife, Linda Follett; children, Sherry Traxinger, Leslie Follett (Joe Brower), Mark Follett, Jack (Debbie) Danielson; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and also brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Don was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He traveled the country, playing senior softball, winning the World Series and participated in the Senior Softball Olympics. Don loved gardening, his flowers but especially his roses and also loved a good game of euchre. He had a nice sense of humor, was loved and will be missed by all. Linda and Don enjoyed traveling out west. The family would especially like to thank Uncle Larry and Aunt Peg Dells and Great Lakes Hospice for their wonderful support and care for Don and his family. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 8 at 11:00 AM at the O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE. Visitation Friday 6-8 PM and Saturday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
