DONALD JONES

Donald Jones, age 94, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Ruth Roush Jones, and his parents, William J. Jones and Leona Eubank Jones of Oblong, IL. He served in WWII as a flight engineer and top turret gunner in the Army Air Corps and worked as a truck mechanic until retirement. He is survived by his children, Paula (Chet Zelasko) Jones of Grand Rapids, MI, Steven (Joy) Jones of Holland, MI; grandchildren Matthew (Kerri) Gunning of Summerville, SC, Lori (Ryan) Kuehl of Kankakee, IL, Ian (Katherine) Jones of Grayson, KY, and three great-grandchildren. A private memorial service was held.
