Daghmar G. (Lehnertz) Bennett, age 92, of Grand Rapids, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020. Dag was preceded in death by her husband, J. Russell Bennett. She is survived by her children, Chuck (Sandy), Sally Gable (Bob), Larry (Judy), Greg, Denny, Diane Blaisdell (Scott), Doug (Michelle), Tom (Melanie) of Grand Rapids, John (Kristie) of Auburn, IN, Dan (Starr) of Romulus, MI; 29 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was a caring, loving, strong supporter of her family and people in general. A dedicated Christian, loving her God and setting an example of following Jesus’s word. Dag was known for the saying “If you can’t say something nice about someone, don’t say anything at all”. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM on Monday, June 22, 2020 at St. Robert of Newminster, 6477 Ada Dr SE, Ada, MI 49301 with visitation one-hour prior. Rev. Leonard Sudlik presiding. Interment St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Hospice, 100 Michigan St. NE Grand Rapids, MI 49503 or Heather Hills Staff Fund, 1055 Forest Hill Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
