Charles Waber

Charles “Chuck” Glen Waber, age 75 of Lowell, passed away on October 5, 2021. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Fred “Ted” (Margaret “Peg”) Waber. He is survived by many wonderful family members, including his wife, Helen Waber; their children, Lisa (Nick) Godwin, John (Michelle) Waber; grandchildren, Alan (Alexis) Drake, Leah (Brad Johnston) Drake, Taylor, Kailee, and Brayden Waber; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Arlen Drake, and Murphy Johnston; sisters, Ellen (Waber) Radke, Donna Beaman (Dennis Myers), and Anna (Chris) Wickey. The world recently lost a great husband, father, gardener, and fisherman. Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, volunteering at his church, fishing, camping, and especially gardening. He could grow anything, even when he said he wasn’t going to have a garden, he always did. He took care of things and others with his kind soul, gentle hands, and green thumb. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 2:00pm at Bowne Center United Methodist Church, 12051 84^th Street, Alto, MI 49302, with visitation one-hour prior.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Flat River Outreach Ministries (FROM), 11535 Fulton St. E, Lowell, MI 49331, Bowne Center United Methodist Church, or a charity of your choice.
