Cecily Carpenter

Cecily “Cec” Carpenter, age 79 of Grand Rapids, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012. A teacher all her life touching young lives for over 55 years and helping to build a world. She celebrated every day with a smile and cheer. A humble women passed on knowledge and love to all she met. Cec will be missed by her children, daughter, Christine Carpenter; son, Mark Carpenter, wife Rhonda, grandchildren, Kaleigh, Max and Jaret; son, John Carpenter and grandsons, Alex and Peter. She was preceded in death by her love, Robert (Bob) Carpenter and sister, Dee Hartmann. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday 11:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1935 Plymouth SE, Rev. Troy Nevins, presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Rosary will be recited Monday 6:30 PM. Visitation Monday 5-8 PM at the O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE.
