C. Douglas Snell

Carl “Doug” Douglas Snell, age 73 of Ada, went to be with the Lord Monday, August 01, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father Hillman; son Bryan; and daughter Heather, who died at birth. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Diane; children Wendy (Marcus) Divita, Dennis E. Echelbarger, David Echelbarger, Deanna VanWyk, Dan Echelbarger, Deb (Bert) Reynolds; mother Laura A. Snell; sister Linda (Fred) Sever; 13 grandchildren. Doug was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam and later became proprietor of Doug Snell Appraisal Company. He enjoyed golfing, but his passion was singing in various choirs such as St. Robert’s Adult Choir, Holy Family Choir, and Schubert Male Chorus of which he was past President. Visitation will be held Sunday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at St. Robert of Newminster Church, 6477 Ada Dr. S.E., Ada. Rev. Colin Mulhall presiding. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Caledonia, MI.
