Brett Thomas Jelens

Brett Thomas Jelens, age 68 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family after complications due to pneumonia on Monday, September 6, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Carol Jelens.  He is survived by his brother, Craig Jelens; sisters, Pam (Tim) Moore and Carla Jelens (Carlos Almanza); his niece, Shawna (Ryan) Conerty; nephews, Tyler Moore and Cole Henriksen; his aunts and cousins and his family at Victory Palace Adult Foster Care Home where he lived the past 6 years. He liked to listen to music, was kind and generous and enjoyed being with his family. Brett has had life-long challenges with mental health issues and is now at peace.
