Barbara Jean MacInness

Barbara Jean MacInness, age 88 of Cascade, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Carroll; grandson, Remo Cellis; brother, Ralph Loeschner. She is survived by her children, Brian MacInness, Jeri MacInness, Kevin (Judy) MacInness, Brett (Diane) MacInness; brother, Ray Loeschner; sister, Marion (Richard) Stauffer; grandchildren, Nicole (Peter) Hay, Delaney MacInness, Shannon (Dan) Weissleder, Rain (Scott) Almoney; brother-in-law, Roger (Kay) MacInness; six great grandchildren; also nieces and nephews. Barb began her love for music early in life, she played clarinet in High School and for 26 years was a professional vocalist, enjoying her time as a member of the Senior Neighbors Band. After retirement from her career in retail at J.C. Penney, she and Carroll found great pleasure in sailing and motor home traveling, a favorite was trips to Colorado to visit her family. She was a woman of strong faith and was very active in her church. Memorial services will be Saturday 4:00 p.m. at Cascade Christian Church, 2829 Thornapple River Dr. S.E., Pastor Jill Forton officiating. Interment Cascade Cemetery. Visitation Friday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kyle Patterson Fund or the Jonathon Gaylord Scholarship Fund of Cascade Christian Church.
