HOGAN – Arthur J. Hogan Jr., age 85 of Grand Rapids passed away on Good March 21 2008 at Pilgrim Manor. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie in 2004. He is survived by his children Nancy (Donn) Passage of Newaygo Michael (Sue) Hogan of Ada and William Hogan of Paw Paw; four grandchildren James Sean Katelyn and Jena; brother Thomas (Gerry) Hogan; sisters Mary (Tom) Erhardt Bernadette (Ken) Bradford; brothers-in-law Richard (Connie) Ogren Larry (Nancy) Erhardt; sisters-in-law Maurine Nyquist Mary (John) Nasstrom; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Hogan was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and Michigan Tech University. He spent his entire career as an engineer at American Seating. He was a veteran of WWII. Mr. Hogan enjoyed family camping traveling gardening golfing and fishing. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary since 1955. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. March 26 2008 at Immaculate Heart of Mary 1935 Plymouth Ave. SE with Rev. Troy Nevins presiding. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Rosary at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE. Mr. Hogan’s family would like to thank the staff of Pilgrim Manor for the attention and care given to him during his stay there. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Killgoar Foundation at Immaculate Heart of Mary and Pilgrim Manor.
