Arlene Rose Penninga

PENNINGA Arlene Rose Penninga age 79 of Grand Rapids was carried home by her Lord and Saviour November 13 2011. She was preceded in death by her sons Douglas and Jerry; granddaughter Rachel; brothers Ed Harold Rich and Louis Marsman; brothers-in-law Roger Land and John Sytsma. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Herm; children Paul (Ann) Penninga Cheryl (Jim) Feddema Gord (Cheri) Penninga; daughter-in-law Sandy (Steve) Fleming; brother Roger (Doris) Marsman; sisters-in-law Loraine Sytsma and Esther Land; brother-in-law Dave (Carol) Penninga; 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Arlene was a faithful wife and loving mother who raised her children to be faithful to the Lord. She was the first secretary at Ada Christian School as well as secretary at Ada Christian Reformed Church. Funeral services will be at Ada Christian Reformed Church 7152 Bradfield Ave. SE Rev. Bruce Vaandrager officiating. Visitation 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE.
