Arlene Marie Bal

Arlene Marie Bal, age 98 of Grand Rapids, Michigan, formerly of Gaastra, Michigan, died Monday, February 18, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur in 1995 and 10 siblings.  She is survived by her children, Beverly (George) Woons of Grand Rapids, Arthur Jr. (Char) Bal of Valparasio, IN, Robert (Nancy) Bal of Whitefish Bay, WI, David Bal of Youngstown, OH, Randy (Mary) Bal of Hancock, MI, James (Delores) Bal of Crestwood, KY and Mary (Ed) Cody of Grand Rapids; 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Betty Bal and Florence Brumm; many nieces and nephews.  Arlene was devoted to her Catholic faith.  She was a loving mom and grandma.  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 a.m. Friday, February 22 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1935 Plymouth Ave. SE, Rev. Troy Nevins, presiding.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of One’s Choice.
