Alice Murphy

MURPHY – Alice Murphy age 91 of Grand Rapids passed away February 12 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard T. Murphy; sons James Thomas Paul and George; son-in-law Ronald Tanis; great-granddaughter Michelle Johnson; brothers Jack Abbring and Ennis (Harriet) Abbring; sisters Janet VanderWoude Gertrude Plum and Celia Rickard. She is survived by her children Joe (Char) Murphy Fred (Maureen) Murphy Patricia Murphy and Mary Tanis; daughters-in-law Roberta Murphy and Vivien Murphy; grandchildren Dennis Catherine Tammie Michael Barbara and Christine; great-grandchildren Brian Randi Brandon Ashley Jamie and Orehanna. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Stephen Church 750 Gladstone SE Msgr. Ernest P. Schneider presiding. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 PM and 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or Boys Town.
