Patricia Leete passed away September 28, 2019, at her home in Kentwood, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Phoebe Baughman of Lowell, MI, her husband Neale, and her sons David and Bradley. A pioneer in the industry, Pat enjoyed a long, successful career as an equity trader, retiring from Old Kent Bank in 1995. Her work helped to pave the way for many women who would follow. Her family, friends and loved ones will always remember her for her kind spirit, sense of humor and wit, all of which were on display in her parting words: “Don’t tie yourself to me with tears. Be thankful for the fun years. You have no idea how much you have given to me in happiness…and we’ve come through many challenges together, landing feet first, maybe a little bruised, but unbowed. I’m thankful for the love you each have showered on me but now it’s time for me to venture on. So, grieve little, have a party, make a toast. Then smile with relief and gratitude, knowing that you’ve given me the greatest of love and treasures through my life. Remember though, the way I believe, I’ll be keeping my eye on you…or however it works from ‘over there’. Love, Pat.” At Pat’s request, no service will be held.
