William George Fluger “Bill”, age 85 passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph & Barb Fluger; brothers, Richard (Donna) Fluger; David Fluger; and niece, Susan Fluger. Bill is survived by sister-in-law, Joanne Fluger Lucas (David Miller); nieces and nephews, Ralph (Laura Zavadil) Fluger, Suzette (Mark) Verbeck, Julie Fluger, Kathy (Kevin) Wallace, Valrie (Aaron) Welch, Michelle (Coy) Reynolds; several great nieces and nephews; and many great friends and garage buddies. Bill worked for the Buyers Guide in Lowell for many years and the Lowell Post Office as a mail carrier. He served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Moose Lodge #809, 1320 E Main St, Lowell, MI 49331. Memorial contributions may be made to a hospice of your choice.

What a sweet and gentle man Uncle Bill was. When I say I’ve known him my whole life I’m not exaggerating. As my childhood, next door neighbor, I’d trick or treat every year, looking forward to one of his folks beautifully decorated pumpkin shaped sugar cookies, I’d rush home to protect it before continuing on. Bill was a friend of my stepdad who like others called him Cookie; he always smiled and made an effort to say hello upon seeing us kids. He was a good and true friend if you were lucky enough to be one. I’ll miss driving by to say hello during those garage card games.
