VER STRAT, WILLARD ‘Bill’, age 88 of Ada, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean and daughter, Linda Ver Strat. He is survived by his children, Beverly (Jeff) Wilcox, Dennis Ver Strat, Stephen (Cathy) Ver Strat; brothers, Roger Ver Strat, Randy (Mary Kay) Ver Strat; sister, Carrie Puite; grandchildren, Brent (Rachel) Wilcox, Melissa (Zack) VanDyke, Lindsey (Scott) Frein, Doug Ver Strat, Scott (Jennifer) Ver Strat, Rachel, Sarah, and Laura Ver Strat; great grandchildren, Ashley, Madison, Jacob, Ellie, Mason, Logan, Dylan, Vivienne. Bill proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WW II in the West Pacific. A man of unquestionable faith and devotion his kind and gentle spirit continued to shine bright even in the most difficult of times. The family would like to express their special thanks to the Heather Hills Retirement Village Care staff for the loving care given to their father. Funeral service will be held Monday 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Church, 707 E. Beltline Ave. NE, Grand Rapids. Pastor Bruce Huseby officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
