Victor D. “Don” Souser was born on February 17, 1925 and left on his last patrol Tuesday, August 28, 2018. He was a proud national and state member of the submarine service of WWII and served on the USS Bream. He was past-commander of the Lowell VFW Post 8303, member of American Legion 152 and Lowell Moose 805. He was past-president of the Ada Historical Society. When younger, he loved to hunt and fish, as well as sail his “Pipiqua” on Lake Michigan. He retired from IBEW 876 after 28 years. He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia; sisters Irene Nellist and Mildred Harter; brother Edwin; step-son Wayne A. Will. He is survived by his daughter Dawn (Mike) Larson; step-children Diane (Fred) Ignatovich, Rodney Will, John Will, Robert Will, Delbert (Kim) Will; grandson Mike (Marissa) Larson; granddaughter Karen (Chad) Vankampen; and several great-grandchildren. A celebration of Don’s life will be held 12 PM Saturday, September 29, at VFW Flat River Post, 3116 Alden Nash Ave SE, Lowell, MI 49331; with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Military Honors under the auspices of the Navy Honor Guard and Kent County Veterans Honor Guard.

  1. You will greatly be missed my friend . Our Neibor hood fires will never be the same . We will always though share many fun loveing memories and stories with friends and family . Uncle Don we will miss you. i loved to vist with you when you came into the store, to do your shopping,we have had some beautiful time all of us together, having a beer and talk about old times we had together, and of course you were a beautiful dancer , R.I.P.uncle Don and dance with all the angels.
