Velma Jean Hartley, age 88 of Lowell, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 2, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Hartley. Velma is survived by her children, Laurie (Richard) DeVries, Mark (Kimberly) Hartley, Leesa (Thomas) Lintemuth; grandchildren, Carolyn (James) Hofstee, Andrea (Patrick) Jordan, Mark Hartley, Douglas Hartley, David (Elisa) Lintemuth, Roman (Elizabeth) Lintemuth; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Steven Hartley, Jack (Sharon) Hartley, Larry (Janett) Hartley; and several nieces and nephews. Velma Jean was a wonderfully loving, warm, and compassionate mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Her love for her family was unquestionable and emotionally she was always available for us. Her life of faith was an inspiration to us all. We rejoice at her reunion with her husband (our father) in time to celebrate their 68th wedding anniversary together again. Although she will be missed, she is home at last with her Heavenly Father. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, September 8, 2023, with visitation one hour prior, at the Calvary Christian Reformed Church of Lowell, 1151 W Main St., Lowell MI 49331. Pastor Ryan Landt officiating. Interment at Bailey Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Paws with a Cause, 4646 South Division Wayland, MI 49348.
