Velga (Miske) Plate passed away on March 9, 2024, at age 89. She was preceded in death by her husband, Janis; and sisters, Vija and Gunta. She is survived by her daughters, Rita Plate, and Lindy (Ty) Tanis; grandson, Kirgin “Charlie” Tanis; and his sister, Ciara Anderson; sister, Zile (Nicholas) Sardegna; brother, Gundars (Abigail) Miske; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 11am at Wesley Park United Methodist Church, 1150 32nd St SW, Wyoming, MI 49509, with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Aija Graham officiating.
