Valorie Ann Cook, age 73, died on Sunday morning January 19, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mona Topliffe; and brother, Brian Topliffe of Boston, Mass. Survived by her husband, Patrick Michael Cook; daughter, Flannery (Carl) Crittendon; mother-in-law, Teresa Russo; brother, Laurence (Diane) Topliffe; sister, Laurie (Chris) Cocomazzi; sisters-in-law, Paula Topliffe and Nancy Cook (Kyle) Gann; brothers-in-law, Timothy (Marietta) Cook, Kyran (Kate Gfeller) Cook, Stephen (Kathee) Cook, Sean (Elizabeth) Cook, Michael (Elizabeth) Cook; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friend, Carol Euker. Valorie worked many years as a window clerk for the US Postal Service and retired thirteen years ago. She was an avid quilter, backyard bird watcher and true crime fan. Valorie and Patrick made many trips back to Massachusetts and had happy memories of their lives in Boston, Vermont, and Michigan. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year. An interment ceremony will be held this spring at a time to be announced.

I will miss Val, her sharp wit, and shoulder shaking laugh.
