The Lord came and took Timothy Lee Hinds Jr. home Monday, October 17, 2016. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Vernon and Elizabeth MacDonald, Carl Thorington, and Agatha Nelson “Grandma G.”. He is survived by his daughter Melanie (Jonah) McCarty; grandchildren Natalee, Easton; mother Marlene Thorington; father Tim Sr. (Jean) Hinds; brothers Shane Hinds, Shawn (Deb) Hinds; sisters Tiffny (John) Harmon, Desiray Hinds; nephews Blake Hinds, Johnny, and Joey Harmon; nieces Kati Hinds, Kathleen, and Emma Harmon; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tim was an avid hunter, outdoorsman, Lions and Tigers fan. He adored his grandchildren and was a trusted friend.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me”. With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away, and though we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
The family will meet friends and relatives Saturday from 10-11:00 a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Msgr.
