  27. I grew up with Tom in Detroit and we were classmates and friends in elementary school, middle school, high school and we both went to Michigan State. I just learned of his death yesterday from a roommate at MSU who called to tell me of the death of our joint friend, Tim Nowicki. Tom was a great friend and a terrific athlete as well. I am sure he was a blessing to all those who knew him after MSU. My prayers go out to all of his friends and family.
