Thomas Charles Karrip

Thomas (Tommy) Charles Karrip, age 69 of East Grand Rapids, MI, passed away peacefully with his daughter and niece by his side, Sunday, February 15, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Karrip, his father George Karrip and a beloved aunt, Tillie Sayfie.  He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Karrip and her mother, Rita Karrip, his granddaughter, Cambria Frost, his brothers Jimmy Karrip, Richard Karrip, Danny Karrip and sister, Carol Alvarado.  His nephew and God son Jimmy (JK) Karrip, special niece Jodie Karrip Jones (John) and her children, Nickolus and Kahla Karrip and many more cousins, nieces, nephews and very close friends.

Tommy graduated from East Grand Rapids High School.  He worked as a screen printer and promotional products manager.

Tommy was a scratch golfer, enjoyed playing pool, spending time with friends, family and his dogs. Tommy had 3 dogs, Milo, Nugget and Itty Bitty, adopted from Dachshund Haus Rescue that he cherished and spent most of his time with.

Visitation will take place 6-8 pm with Trisagion Service at 7:30pm, Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral home located at 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.

Funeral service will be held at St. George Orthodox Church located at 334 La Grave Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI with family only viewing from 10-11am, open service from 11am to noon with mercy meal to follow.

In lieu of flowers, family asks that you donate to Dachshund Haus Rescue in his memory at dhrescue.com.
