Susan Sayre Teunis, age 75 of Ada, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Susan was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and cherished friend to many.

Her deep love for her family and friends was evident in everything she did – whether it was preparing delicious meals, baking the sweetest desserts, or planning an event. Her remarkable ability to turn the simplest of gatherings into extraordinary celebrations made her a faithful friend and family member. Whether it was a backyard barbecue or an elegant soiree, Susan’s events were unforgettable, filled with laughter, love, and magic. Her artistic soul, vibrant personality, keen eye for detail, and knack for making people feel special were unparalleled. Susan found joy in the beauty of life, always smiling, delighting in flowers and birds, and spending serene moments boating on Gun Lake. She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the light she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Susan will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Charles Teunis; her siblings, Marta (Paul) Heise, Michael (Pam) McMahon, Mitchell (Jody) McMahon, Kevin (Nancy) McMahon, Laura McMahon-Summerfield; her children, Ryan (Tami) Teunis, Amy (Phil) Lozen, Kevin (Melissa) Teunis; and her grandchildren, Jack, Lexi and Ben. Susan’s legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Family will greet friends and relatives from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. Hudson St SE, Lowell, Michigan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at St. Robert of Newminister Parish, 6477 Ada Dr SE, Ada, Michigan, with visitation one hour prior.
