It is with both sorrow and gratitude that we share the passing of Susan Ford, a beloved wife, devoted mother, and faithful servant of the Lord, who went home to be with Him on October 31, 2025.
Born in Grand Rapids, Susan lived her life as a reflection of God’s love and grace. She met her husband, Pat, at Bostwick Lake Inn, and together they shared 49 beautiful years of marriage built on faith, laughter, and steadfast devotion. Their two sons, Shauwn and Josh, were her heart’s greatest joy—she poured her love into them daily, guiding them with gentle wisdom and an unshakable belief in God’s goodness.
Sue was deeply involved in her church, Victory Hill, where she served joyfully in countless ways. Whether leading a women’s Bible study, leading a prayer group, preparing meals for a family in need, or praying with someone who was hurting, she gave of herself fully and humbly. Her faith was not just spoken – it was lived.
Those who knew her will remember her radiant smile, thoughtful words, and her ability to make everyone feel seen and loved. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her prayers always faithful. She had a gift for bringing comfort to others, often reminding those around her of one of her favorite scriptures:
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul.” — Psalm 23:1–3
Her family and friends take comfort knowing that her soul has indeed been restored, and she now rests in the eternal peace of her Savior.
Susan is lovingly survived by her husband Pat Ford; her son Shauwn and daughter-in-law Beth, and their children Blake, Kayleigh, and Joel; and her son Josh and daughter-in-law Robyn, and their children Piper, Layla, and Hadley.
A Celebration of Sue’s Life will be held at Victory Church (1674 W. State Rd., Hastings, MI 49058) on Saturday, November 15, at 11:00 a.m. Luncheon to follow.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23
Though she has gone from our sight, her love remains in every heart she touched.

We are so shocked and saddened by the passing of Sue. She was the absolutely epitome of God’s word in action. I admired her faithfulness and determination. She will be deeply missed by so many. My family is grateful and extremely blessed to have known her. My condolences to the entire family.
I had the opportunity to met Minister Sue Ford through my daughter Tenisa over ten years ago. What a SERVANT in the Lord! Her love, boldness, sincerity, and encouragement strengthened my faith in the Word of God. I was saddened when I learned of her transition however, to be absent from the body she is PRESENT with the Lord. My condolences 💔🙏🏾Mozella E. Bogan
