On July 20th, 2023, Shirley Joan Wright passed from this life into the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her loving family and has now been reunited with her husband Carroll.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years Carroll Wright. Left to cherish the memories of her are her four daughters and their husbands, whom she considered sons; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 2 great great-granddaughters; and of course, her beloved Yorkie, Annie.
She will be remembered for her fierce love of her family, her keen sense of humor, and her love of both card games and dominoes. Most of all, she will be remembered for her love of her Savior Jesus Christ. She shared that love with whomever entered her life. She will be greatly missed.
Open House Celebration of her life will be held on September 2, 2023, starting at 12:30 to dusk, with a share time at 1:00 pm. It will be held at her home, 3103 Ridge Port Dr. NW Grand Rapids, MI 49544.
In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated in her honor to Autismspeaks.org (specify Grand Rapids Michigan) or American Heart Association at donatenow.heart.org (acknowledge Shirley Wright when donating

Grandma is the reason I do what I do. She gave me the genes and love of people. She exemplified love of others. Her heart was always open to everyone. Thank you for demonstration trust and love of Christ in your heart and life grandma!
