Rosemarie (Rose) Greeno Cattanach

02/26/1952
08/22/2023

Rosemarie (Rose) Greeno Cattanach passed into her Savior’s arms on August 22, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Rose was born to Mabel and Harry Wayne Greeno on February 26, 1952, and she married the love of her life Warren Cattanach on July 3, 1970. They were married for 32 years and had three children: Rachel, Shawn, and Becky. Rose loved being a wife and mother, and these were her greatest passions and achievements in life.

She was quiet but worked hard behind the scenes serving in numerous ways throughout her life: Church secretary, AWANA secretary, 2’s and 3’s Sunday School teacher, Genealogy book seller, FROM puzzle volunteer, and Alto Elementary classroom volunteer. When people served her, she always wanted to repay them in some way, and many received homemade cookies baked with love as thanks. She was a crafter, knitter, scrapbooker, avid genealogist, and loved putting puzzles together.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Rose is survived by her children Rachel (Mike) Burgess, Shawn (Chrissy) Cattanach, Becky (Brian) Sappington, brother Carlyle Greeno, and her grandchildren Wesley and Shelby Cattanach.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 10am-12pm at Forest Hills Baptist Church, 3900 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids, MI 4954. Funeral service to follow at 12pm, Pastor Craig Perry officiating. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to give to the benevolent or missions support funds at Forest Hills Baptist Church or Flat River Outreach Ministries (FROM-Lowell)
