Rosalie Ann McKay, age 88, of Ada, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2026.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger McKay; her son, Mickey McKay; her sister, Patricia Wierckz; and her brothers, Jim Byrne and Jerry Byrne.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Kathy (Jim) Clark, Gary (John Tantoy) McKay, and Roger McKay; her grandchildren, Austin (Melissa) McKay, Taylor (Jeff) Laning, Mason McKay, Jamie (Matt) VanEns, and Brittany Clark; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Avery, Miles, Quinn, Wilder, Rainey, Champlin, Callihan, Elijah, Brielle, and Kaden. She is also survived by her sisters, Donna Carter and Marilyn Oldencamp; her brothers-in-law, Richard McKay and David (Sarah) McKay; many beloved nieces and nephews; and her treasured grand dog, Henry.
Rosalie was a devoted homemaker whose warmth, kindness, and caring nature made everyone feel welcome. She was truly a people person, opening her home to many boarders over the years, several of whom became like family.
A loyal sports fan, Rosalie faithfully cheered on the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and University of Michigan football. She especially loved playing cards with her family and treasured every opportunity to spend time with friends and loved ones. More than anything, Rosalie will be remembered for her generous heart, her welcoming spirit, and the love she shared with those around her.
Funeral services will take place at 12pm on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Alton Bible Church, 2780 Lincoln Lake Ave. NE, Lowell, Michigan 49331, with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Ken Ford officiating. Interment Cascade Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Rosalie’s honor can be made to Faith Hospice, or Maple Ridge Manor, 12020 Foreman SE Lowell, MI 49331.

Love you forever Rosie Po.
Rosie Po was a light in this world. Never would you meet a kinder person, she was my mother’s best friend and if you knew my mother you would understand what a feat that was. Her heart welcomed everyone. I will forever remember playing cards and watching the notorious Notre Dame vs U of M games in her living room. I loved to make her laugh and cook meals for her as she loved to cook for us when we were younger. Until we meet again.
Rose will always hold a special place in my heart. Some of my favorite childhood memories are at her house, where there was always laughter, card games, and so much fun in the pool. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome and at home.
When I was in grade school, there was an assignment to write about someone I admired. I chose Rose because of her kind and accepting heart. She showed me what it meant to make people feel loved, accepted, and included. This is the example she set and the legacy she leaves behind.
