Rodney Russell VanCamp, age 84 of Lowell, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy J. VanCamp; parents, Leonard L. & Audrey L. VanCamp; brothers, Gary, Ronald, Dennis VanCamp; sister-in-law, Phyllis VanCamp; and brother-in-law, Marvin Avery. Rodney is survived by his daughters, Abbygail Tobin, Mckenna Tobin; grandchildren, Wesley (Marie) Patnode, Whitney (Jonathan) Brooke, Ashlee Patnode, Emma Ryder, Brady Ryder; great-grandchildren, Branden, Silus, Jada; sister, Izetta Avery; and sister-in-law, Kim VanCamp.
Rodney graduated from Godwin Heights High School in 1958. He served in the United States Air Force. Rodney worked as a master electrician until he retired from Amway. He was a long-time member of Qua-Ke-Zik Sportsman’s Club. Rodney loved traveling with his wife, going camping and fishing. He enjoyed reading, making model airplanes, shooting firearms, gardening, drawing, watching NASCAR and college football, and was a collector. He was so very loved and greatly appreciated. He will be missed by many.
