Robert (Bob) peacefully entered Heaven on Friday afternoon, October 24, 2025.
Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on October 22, 1947, Bob was the beloved son of Robert and MaryLou Berrington, Sr.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Pamela (Pam) Craig; their sons, Bob III (Janel), Nick (Lisa), and Tyler Berrington; ten cherished grandchildren — Katie (Teagan Heether), Brian, Natalie, Ian, Christine, Matthew, Connor, Amelia, Rosalie, and Michelle — and one special great-granddaughter, Addilyn (Addie).
Bob’s warmth, ready smile, and quick wit will be deeply missed by his family and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and MaryLou Berrington, and his father-in-law, Richard (Dick) Craig.
Bob was a man of steady faith, quiet strength, and deep humility. He led by example, loved his family wholeheartedly, and devoted his life to walking closely with the Lord.
Sgt. Robert Joseph Berrington, Jr. proudly served in the United States Air Force from June 1968 to 1972. During his service, he supported the Vietnam conflict as a Master Crew Chief on F-100 jets at Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, New Mexico.
Bob found great joy in his “Pole Barn,” where he spent countless hours perfecting his woodworking craft — creating furniture, projects, and gifts for family and friends. Ever generous with his time and talents, he was always ready to lend a hand on any project. His greatest joys in life were his family, his faith in Jesus, and the simple pleasure of working with his hands.
Bob spent many years working for Our Daily Bread (formerly RBC Ministries), as well as in building construction and electrical work. He retired in 2005 to take on his favorite role — full-time grandpa and babysitter — a calling he embraced with love and joy for the next 20 years.
Visitation with the family will take place from 11am-1pm on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. Hudson Lowell, Michigan 49331, with funeral services starting at 1pm.

Sorry to hear of Bob, Jr’s passing, though I only knew him as a small child, I know he was a fine man as was his father, my Uncle Bob, and is welcomed into the arms of his creator, for whom he served. Cousin Elvin Rasmussen, Sioux City, Iowa.
