Robert “Bob” James Andresiak

10/01/1948
04/18/2025

Robert James Andresiak, lovingly known as “Bob,” passed away peacefully on Good Friday, April 18, 2025, at the age of 76.

Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Bob graduated from Catholic Central High School, served as an altar boy, and often spoke about the Latin he learned in his youth. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and carried his Catholic faith with him throughout his life.

Married to Joann for 44 years, Bob stepped into the role of father to her three young daughters with strength and steadiness. He had a unique sense of humor, a sentimental heart, and a deep appreciation for the life he and Joann built. Coming from humble beginnings, he loved to share what they created—grateful and genuinely proud of their home, their story, and the life they made together. He was always just Bob—content, sincere, and loved for exactly who he was.

Bob enjoyed fishing, collecting antiques and sports cards, and connecting with neighbors, especially his good friend Steve.

He is survived by his wife Joann; daughters Kelly (Bob) Stickney, Christina (Randy) Stickney, and Erin (Jake) Harmon; grandchildren Cameron (Margo), Mason, Karlie, Justin, Ethan, and Alice; great-granddaughter Lily; siblings Ronnie Andresiak, Ruth (Jim) Willett, and Roger Andresiak. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mollie Andresiak, and infant brother Randy.

Visitation will be held 4-6pm, Friday, April 25, 2025, at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. A Prayer Service to follow at 6pm.

A private tribute will be held, interment at Fort Custer and a summer celebration of life to follow.

  1. We’ll miss You deeply, but we’re thankful for every memory and the steady love you gave our family.
We sure do feel the loss of your presence. So grateful for the beautiful memories and relationship we had over the years

“My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” 1 John 14-2:3

  2. My deepest sympathies to you Erin (Cree) and your family during this difficult time. Prayers for strength, comfort, and peace for all of you.

  3. Our deepest sympathy to Joann and the family. We reconnected with Bob and Joann after 25 years and had some adventures along with our friend Ron and his girlfriend Patty, including a round trip train ride to New Orleans, a trip to the UP for a week and many others. The 3 guys were the best of friends. Bob was a jokester and we always loved hearing his stories. He will be missed greatly but we have such fond memories of our times together. Bob and Ron will now be able to reminisce together.

  4. Joann, my deepest condolences are with you and your family. Bob was a great guy and I will miss him.
