Robert (Bob) Bennett, age 91, of Lowell, MI went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 16, 2025. According to God’s Word, I’m sure he was welcomed with “Well done, good and faithful servant!” His greatest passion was his relationship with God and living life to please Him. One of his greatest desires was that others would know Jesus too.
Bob was born to Alice and Letcher Bennett on July 14, 1934, in Evanston, IL. He was the youngest of five brothers and one sister. He was preceded in death by his wife Marge, his parents and siblings.
During his 20’s, he was drafted to serve the United States Army in Germany. He also served a few years in the Army reserve. After completing his time in the Army he felt called to join God’s Invasion Army (GIA) Ministry for a year in California. There, he had many opportunities to present the Word of God, singing in the choir and giving his testimony.
Bob loved attending his church and being with his church family and friends. He also had a love for singing. In his early 30’s with his beautiful baritone voice, he joined with his friends forming a quartet called “The King’s Kouriers”. During this time he met and fell in love with Marguerite McKinney and shortly thereafter were married.
In the earlier years of marriage, Bob attended Ferris State College and graduated with a trade degree in printing after graduating. He was employed as a print pressman for RBC ministries and remaining there for 30+ years. At RBC he printed “Our Daily Bread”, a daily devotional booklet. He felt this was yet another ministry where he could help reach others for the Lord. Bob and Marge had two sons, Brad and Brian (Ange) and two grandsons. They were married for 30 years until Marge’s homegoing. Bob was a devoted father to his sons and grandsons, Nate and Gabe.
Later Bob met Karen Snyder, and found love again! After 3 ½ years together, they decided to marry with many adventures to follow. His passing came just five days before their 25th wedding anniversary. With his marriage to Karen he became a wonderful stepdad to Heather (Todd), Heidi (Brandyn), Aaron (Rachael) and Jeremy (Kaitlin) gaining an additional 17 grandchildren, Jenna (Drew), Kyle, Ella, Nathan, Nolan, Austin, Ethan, Blake, Mia, Audrey, Wyatt, Waylon, Liam, Ivy, Cam, Brianna, Kade, and one great-grandchild, Tate. He was committed to sharing his selfless love and care for them also.
Bob was devoted to being a Godly example to all his family and friends. His spontaneous sense of humor and love of making people laugh were hallmarks of family and friends gatherings.
Even in his last days at St. Ann’s the staff and residents saw him as a Godly man who showed love and encouragement to those around him. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by many. Bob was a loving, kind and gentle spirit who touched all those who knew him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at South Boston Bible Church, 6958 Kyser Rd., Lowell, MI 49331 on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00am. Pastor Cory Malone officiating. A luncheon will be served following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to South Boston Bible Church.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. What a wonderful life he had with loving families. My wife Linda’s Dad served in the Army in Germany during his Early 20’s also and they would’ve been within a couple of months of the same age. Will have to go back and look at photos of him and some of his buddies now to see if I recognize him in any.
