Richard William Lunger

Richard William Lunger, age 61 of Plainfield Township, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father William Lunger; parents-in-law Ken (Virginia) Vermeer, and David (Patricia) Anda. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Becky; mother Betty Lunger; sister Jana (Steve) Black; brothers and sisters-in-law; also several nieces and nephews. Dick was active with the Boy Scouts, search and rescue teams for Ottawa and Kent County for many years. He was a ham radio operator, youth leader at his church, and went on short term mission trips. Visitation will be Thursday 5-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service will be held Friday 11:00 a.m. at Plainfield Christian Church, 7255 Pine Island Dr NE, Comstock Park. Rev. Bruce Wilson officiating. Interment Graceland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Youth Program at Plainfield Christian Church.
