On Thursday September 16, 2021, Randy L Rand, 71, loving Husband, Father and Poppy, went to be with the Lord.
Randy was born June 3, 1950, in Holyoke Massachusetts. As a graduate of Michigan State University, he bled Green and White.
On Oct 3, 1975, Randy married the love of his life, Jane, and together they had 3 children: Sommer, Matthew, and April. He was fortunate to gain another son on October 22, 2016, when April married Patrick Jackson. Randy became a “Poppy” to his first grandchild, Knox Jackson on June 8, 2019. He was excited to be gaining another son this November 11, 2021, when Sommer marries her fiancé, Greg Mervenne. Randy and Jane were looking forward to celebrating their 46th wedding anniversary on October 3rd of this year.
All who knew Randy knew of his great love for his family.
His second greatest passion was his founding and creation of Jungle Survival Drivers Training. Many knew him by the name of RaRa. We believe he is now teaching Driver’s Education on the streets paved of gold, up in Heaven. Randy did so much for countless families and communities, making sure everyone drove the Jungle Way. He was an inspiration to all those who crossed his path. Most people will remember Randy’s contagious smile and laugh, along with his incredible and somewhat embellished storytelling.
We would be honored to have you join us in a Celebration of Life for Randy on October 17, 2021, from 1pm-5pm, and invite you to share some of your favorite memories and stories. The Celebration will be held at the Ada location of Jungle Survival Drivers Training, 6090 East Fulton, Ada, MI 49301.
In Randy Rand’s name, an educational fund has been created for his grandson, Knox Jackson. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation. Checks can be dropped off at any Macatawa Bank branch or mailed to: Macatawa Bank P.O. Box 3119 Holland, Mi 49422-9949.

  1. Dear families,

We are so sorry for the loss of Randy and the part of him that he played in each of your lives.

God has a plan for each of us…the Grandest is His desire to have all of us share eternal life with Him in Heaven. May each life that Randy touched be moved to pray for the repose of his soul.

Randy’s heart was filled with joviality; his smile and humor made others smile back; and his love of family will be the legacy he leaves!

May his soul rejoice with those of whom he follows. May you, Jane & family, treasure the many good memories you all made over the years of his life. And, may the Angels welcome him to Paradise; may
the Martyrs greet him on his way; and may he see the face of his Lord, our God, this day!
    Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!

    With love & prayers,
