Priscilla Nearing, age 72 of Lowell, passed away Monday, November 24, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton and Gertrude Benson; and brother, Alan Benson. Priscilla is survived by her husband of 48 years, Mike Nearing; sons, Michael Nearing and Jason Nearing; grandchildren, Kylei Nearing, Veda Nearing, River Nearing, Remy Nearing, Tyler (Nicole) Brown, Mikayla (Ryan) Long; great-grandchildren; Berklei and Rowan; sister, Bev Zandstra; sister-in-law, Tami (Fred) Nearing; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful companion, Red.
Priscilla worked as a rural carrier for 15 years in the Lowell area. She was a loving mom, grandma, wife, and friend. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cheering for the Spartans, cooking, and dearly loved her dog, Red. Priscilla faithfully served as a ministry team leader for Celebrate Recovery through Impact Church.
Visitation with the family will be held from 12-2 and 4-6pm on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. Hudson Lowell, Michigan 49331. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia County Animal Shelter, 3853 Sparrow Dr., Ionia, MI 48846. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2026.

We shared so many memories together. We worked together lived together and vacationed together so many years ago. You left us far too soon, we didn’t get the chance to meet for lunch, I wanted to see you again before this happened to either one of us.. I’m sad I missed you I will hold you in my heart forever… I love you, I will never forget you R.I.P my friend until we meet again 🥰
