  1. I had what I consider to be a very special relationship with my Aunt Phyllis. When I was born, she was a young teenager who reportedly embraced being a first time aunt who showered me with so much attention. I remember the birthday surprises. One time at age six I fell in love with a twirly skirt at a department store in Decatur only to find it laid out on her bed as a surprise the next day. I went on dates with her and the man who was to become my Uncle Bob. I was a junior bridesmaid in their wedding wearing a pink organza dress made by Grandma Richison. I remember when Greg and Doug were born and remember spending time with them in Lake Forest where I was graciously entertained as a teenager. My recent visits to Grand Rapids to visit her and Greg and Doug will remain treasured memories. I will miss her.
