Peggy Anne Loos
May 23, 1953- October 21, 2024
Peggy Anne Loos, age 71, of East Grand Rapids, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, guided by her guardian angel, joined her Lord and Savior. She was born in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of Charles Edward and Rosemary Grace (Geiger) Hartman. She was married at St. Jude Catholic Church in South Bend to William Loos, on July 17, 1971, by her great uncle, Rev. Ed Keller.
During her adult life she worked and taught in the field of computer programming until being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Following her diagnosis, Peggy volunteered at her local library and at an equine assisted therapy organization, as her health would permit while living in Texas. She also volunteered at her local hospital delivering mail, was active in her church and took much joy in Bible study. Peggy shared with her husband a passion for researching family history that spanned decades. Even as her health declined, she always had a smile and fought her disease with both grace and defiance.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Willam Loos; two sons, Scott (Elisabeth) Loos, Stephen (Allison) Loos; grandchildren, Benjamin, Thomas, Madelynn, Anna, Caden, Samuel, and Lauren; her brother, Charles Edward Hartman Jr.; and sister, Karen Hyman; and many nieces and nephews.
