Patricia Ann Williams (née Weeber) departed to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of Thursday, March 13, 2025, after a brief illness. Her final days at home were made comfortable by Faith Hospice and her loved ones surrounding her with love and laughter.
“The sunshine of her family,” Patty will always be remembered as a woman who embodied the fruits of the Spirit. She loved the Lord, sharing and celebrating his goodness and grace. She sought connection with God through church, long walks in nature, and honoring Him with a healthy lifestyle.
Patty’s family brought her the most joy in life. She delighted in showering them with an array of gifts, chatting about day-to-day happenings, and simply spending time together. She cared deeply about her home and cultivated beauty wherever she was. Early on Patty owned a home cleaning business and was a skilled seamstress. She made beautiful clothes and passed this skill to her eldest daughter. Her everyday pleasures included journaling (since 1986), reading her Bible, listening to music, dining out with her sisters, and watching her loved ones sing at events through the years.
Patty was born in 1938 to John and Daleen Weeber. The third of eight children, she always spoke fondly of her childhood. As a young girl her family moved from Grand Rapids to a farm in Caledonia. She graduated from Caledonia High School in 1956 and was a life-long supporter of the Fighting Scots.
In 1960, Patty met Harry Mast. He told his friends, “That’s the girl I’m going to marry!” They were married that same year and eventually had six children who were raised in Kentwood and Caledonia. Patty was a fun mom, welcoming the whole neighborhood like family. Harry bought land from Patty’s father in 1980 and, with the help of his sons, built a house in the woods on serene Buck Lake.
In 2001, Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Harry. In 2007, she married Richard Williams, who passed away in 2020. Also preceding her in death were her sons, Victor and Alex, as well as her siblings: John Weeber, Mary Klinkhammer, Christine Seitz, Ben Weeber, and Paul Weeber. Sadly, her brother-in-law Jack Limbacher passed away just a few hours after her on March 13.
Patty is survived by many who love her, including her children: Michelle Kowalski (Joe), Harry Mast, John Mast, and Liz Barnett; her grandchildren: Amanda Kowalski (Dominik Szilagyi), Joe Kowalski (Mirela), Ashley Ouderkirk (Tim), Alex Mast, Jason Mast, Julia Brombacher (Mark), Daniel Barnett, and Rachel Barnett; her great-grandchildren: Kora, Aria, Riggs, Sebastian, and Lillian; her sister, Elaine Limbacher; the extended family of Harry Mast; the children and grandchildren of Richard Williams; and lastly, her husband, David Postma whom she married in 2021, and his family.
Patty’s celebration of life will be held on March 22, 2025, at Caledonia Vine Street Church, 250 Vine St SE, Caledonia, MI 49316. Visitation with family will begin at 10am with the service starting at 11am. A luncheon will follow in the church basement. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Caledonia Athletic Boosters in Patty’s honor. You may contact them at ca*********@***il.com.
