Nicole Joanna Wray

Nicole Joanna Wray, age 35, of Lowell, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026. She was preceded in death by her father, Scott Wray; her fiancé, Nate Clark; her stillborn daughter, Joanna Clark; and her grandparents, Ken and Katie Wray, and Jim and Joanne Adema.

Nicole is survived by her mother and step-dad, Pati and Brad Besteman; her sisters, Jillian (Nate) Wiemer and Blaire Wray; her stepbrother, Seth Besteman; her stepsister, Raeann Besteman; her aunts and uncles, Jerry Adema, Randy Wray, Cindy (Steve) Voorheis, and Val (Dennis) Leonard, Gary (Shirley) Besteman, Dave (Dottie) Besteman, Steve (Marcia) Besteman, Lynn Bengelink, Lori Werkhoven, and Jeanne Besteman; her nieces and nephews, Theodore, Hayden, Ethan, Alivia, and Mackenna; her special cousins, Missy (Tim) Hutchins and Jamie (Tom) Woodburn, and many more; her fiancé’s loving family, David and Cindy Clark and Sara (Chris) Chambers; and her beloved feline companions, Rosa, Tex, and Smokey; along with many other beloved family and friends.

Nicole was a member of Moose Lodge #809. She found joy in kayaking, relaxing around campfires with friends, nurturing her plants, and traveling with those she loved.

Anyone who knew Nicole recognized her as a truly beautiful and kind soul who was deeply loved by so many.

The family will greet friends and relatives from 2–4 PM and 6–8 PM on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, Michigan 49331. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Vergennes Methodist Church, 10411 Bailey Drive NE, Lowell, Michigan 49331, with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Ed Schneider will officiate. Interment will take place at Easton Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Nicole’s honor may be made to Flat River Outreach Ministries (FROM), 11535 Fulton St. E, Lowell, MI 49331, or Alpha Care Center, 519 E. Main St., Lowell, MI 49331.
