Nancy H. Brant

Nancy H. Brant, age 91 of Warren, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Alan “Al” G. Brant. She graduated valedictorian from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1954 and married Al shortly thereafter. They were longtime residents of Ohio. While raising their 2 daughters in Bay Village, Nancy began her career as a “Professional Volunteer” which spanned her 60 years of married life in Bay Village, Akron, and Warren. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader of murder mysteries, often reading the end first. Nancy and Al loved antiquing. She became somewhat of an expert in antique pattern glass which she bought and sold as a dealer. Nancy moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan in July of 2023 to be closer to family and spent her final months in skilled nursing at Beacon Hill. She is survived by her two children, Cynthia (Kevin) Fitzgerald, Carol (James) Quigley; five grandchildren, James (Colleen) Fitzgerald, Laura (Matthew Beightol) Fitzgerald, Michael (Makenzie) Fitzgerald, Colleen and Brigit Quigley; five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Isabel, Cara, and Miles Fitzgerald, and Ivy Beightol. Private family celebrations in Nancy’s honor were held.
