Michael Francis Davies

Michael Francis Davies of Kentwood (formerly of Murray Lake/Lowell), Michigan, passed away suddenly on May 14, 2026, at 75. He was at home with his loving wife and cherished dog, Scout.

Born May 10, 1951, Mike was a devoted husband, brother, father, uncle, and friend. Mike served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, from 1969 to 1971. Following his military service, Mike lived in the Florida Keys, where he assisted his father and other family in the operation of a marina. Mike inherited a large, wooden Cris-Craft boat, that he lived on for years. A manatee lived under the boat and Mike would give it fresh water to drink from a garden hose.

Mike’s life was full of adventure and unique experiences. He taught Tonya to value experiences, such as motorcycle trips and car shows. Tonya planned to share her love of birds with Mike this summer.

Mike worked as a steel fabricator, journeyman welder, and union ironworker. He held numerous welding certificates, qualifying him for a wide range of positions, including welding on nuclear submarines. After retiring from welding, he worked as a bank security guard, a courier, and a ride-share driver, among other things.

Mike loved his family, including many dogs over his lifetime. He was passionate about motorcycles, cars, music, and his wife, Tonya. Mike and Tonya spent many summers traveling to motorcycle rallies, including those in Laconia, New Hampshire, and Sturgis, South Dakota. They once rode nonstop, driving in rain to visit Moses in Connecticut!! They routinely attended music festivals and live concerts. Mike was always up for a fresh glass of Coke and an afternoon binge watching a sci-fi or horror series with Tonya.

Mike is survived by his wife of 29 years, Tonya (Andree); his son, Moses Michael Brown; granddaughters, Savannah and Meadow; brother, Leo Sr. (Tamara) Davies; sisters, Yvonne (Patrick) McDonald, Mary Love; nieces and nephews, Graham (Stefanie) Davies, Andrew (Juli) Davies, Leo III (Rebecca) Davies, Kelly Davies, Lenon Davies, Brian Page (Tara Ragaušs), Megan Page, Gerald Page, Maggie McDonald, Miranda (Phillip) St. Clair; Gabriel (Claudia) Andree, Michael Andree, Joy Andree; great nephew, Israel Andree; mother-in-law, Jean Andree; brother-in-law; Ned (Sharon) Andree; and family friend, Anthony Queen and son, Kaden; who called Mike, Uncle Mike.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Margaret Davies; sister, Annette Rittersdorf; brother, Walter Davies; father-in-law, Kenneth Andree.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at St Patrick Catholic Church, 4351 Parnell Avenue NE, Ada, Michigan 49301, with visitation one hour prior. Fr. Thomas Cavera presiding. Family and friends may share tributes to Mike during the luncheon. Inurnment Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.
