Michael Clark Taylor, age 66, suffered a stroke and passed away October 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his East Grand Rapids home. Mike was born on March 2, 1957, in Rockford, MI, the son of Roy Sr. and Eileen Taylor.
In his youth, he was a prankster, who made an adventure out of life with the company of his siblings. He went to St. Patrick Parnell Elementary and Rockford schools. He attended Aquinas College where he met the love of his life, Lena. He graduated with a bachelor’s in accounting and economics and a master’s in management. He later credentialed as a CMA and had a successful 40-year accounting and finance career.
Mike enjoyed woodworking, fishing, birdwatching, grilling, skiing, biking, and most of all, spending quality time with his family. Mike will be remembered as a devoted husband, proud father, loyal brother and friend, legendary storyteller, and faithful Catholic. He saw the best in people and lived life in full. He enriched our lives with his warm heart.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Patrick, and older brothers, Roy Jr., Terrance “Terry,” Dennis, father- and mother-in-law, James and Nancy Rabideau, and sister-in-law, Nancy Rabideau.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Lena, and children, Nicholas (Roxanne Wang), Danielle (Brendan Byrne), and Angela, sister Margaret “Peggy” Taylor (Julie Demske), and countless Taylor and Rabideau family members.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 12th at 4:30-7:30 pm at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Chapel at 3980 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI.
Showing will be Friday October 13th at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Parnell Catholic Parish located at 4351 Parnell Ave NE, Ada, MI, and Mass of Christian Burial will begin promptly at 11:00 am. Luncheon will follow. Catholic Burial will be held at a later date at St. Patrick Cemetery. In memory of Mike, contributions may be made to St. Patrick Parnell Parish.

Lena we are so very sorry to hear about Mike. He was a wonderful man and cousin. We have many fond memories of him and he will forever be etched in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
