BENEDICT Marjorie Ann Benedict age 86 of Alto went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 18 2010. Marjorie was born March 31 1923 in Grand Rapids Michigan. Her parents Jack and Roscena Inman; her beloved husband Walter; her son-in-law Roger Stanley and her granddaughter Sarah Jane Stanley preceded Marjorie in death. She will be deeply missed by her children Jack and Nancy Benedict of Minnesota Tom and Brenda Benedict of Caledonia Ron and Rose DeJonge of Cascade and Bob and Joyce Graham of Alto; her grandchildren Jennifer Benedict Tom and Sherry Benedict Kristen Benedict Eric and Jesslyn Benedict Bryan Benedict Alex and Amy Edwards Joshua DeJonge Britney DeJonge Brad and Elizabeth Lampe and Melissa Stanley; and her great-grandchildren Madelynn Jay Jack and Anna Benedict Colten Benedict and Paige Edwards; Also surviving are dear family members Vivian Bignall of California Wayne and Phyllis Ullery of Delton Jean Leach of Flint along with several nieces nephews and cousins. Marges greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She daily demonstrated the Fruit of the Spirit. Her warm smile and constant encouragement were a blessing to all. Marge is a member of Alto Baptist Church. Marges life verse was Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not unto your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path Proverbs 3:5-6. A treasured hymn was Count your blessing name them one by one. Visitation will be at the Roth-Gerst Funeral Home 305 N. Hudson Lowell January 22 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be on January 23 2010 at the Roth-Gerst Funeral Home. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The American Heart Association.
