Marcella (Marcy) Claire Radecki

Marcella (Marcy) Claire Radecki (nee Milanowski), age 86, of Grand Rapids, went to be with the Lord and join her husband, Deacon Richard Radecki, on April 4, 2025. She was preceded by her husband and parents, Al and Marcella Milanowski; her brother, Larry; and her daughter-in-law, Kris Radecki.

Marcy is survived by her children: David (Lori) Radecki, Daniel (Patti) Radecki, Mary (David) Koss, and John (Mary) Radecki; grandchildren: Andrew (Emily) Radecki, Beth (Steve) Strom, Jacob (Kelsey) Radecki, Rachel (Alex) Breu, Josh (Sam) Radecki, Alex Radecki, Nick Radecki, Matt Koss, and Noah Radecki; great-grandchildren: Caleb, Cecilia, and Gianna Radecki, Nolan and Colin Strom, and Lily Radecki; brothers Paul (Catherine) Milanowski, Tom Milanowski, and Don (Ann) Milanowski and their families; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Marcy graduated from Marywood Academy in 1956, and went on to receive her nursing license from Junior College in 1976. Marcy loved being a nurse. She worked for many years at Family Medicine Specialists. By her compassion for the sick and infirmed, she touched, helped, and guided so many people. Her role as a nurse led her to become involved with Stephen’s Ministry for many years.

Marcy and Richard were members of St. Francis Xavier and St. Paul the Apostle churches. Their involvement in both parishes was rewarded with many life-long friendships.

Marcy’s greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They called her “Bushie” (boo-she). Family get-togethers were her specialty. There were many fun times filled with games, laughter and pizza on Sunday nights. Marcy’s signature dish was her golabki. She enjoyed baking sweet breads for others and enjoyed almost any type of cookie.

Marcy was a woman of deep faith and determination. She spent countless hours volunteering at Marywood, SFX school and church, and at St. Paul’s church in various capacities. As a woman of faith, especially in her later years, she was our “prayer warrior.” Marcy was one of those people everyone could depend on and readily answered the call to serve however and whenever she could help.
