Lynda Lou Landon

On April 21, 2026, Lynda Lou Landon went to be with the Lord. She is lovingly remembered by her four sons, Greg, Darrell (Cindi), Lloyd (Allison), and Kurt (Kim); her grandchildren, Mark (Sarah) Wolf, Kaitlyn (Spencer) Poort, Alex Landon, Sara Landon, Logan Landon, Rachel Landon; and her great-grandchildren, Amiyah, Dahlia, Declan, Emmett, and Jameson. She is also survived by her special aunt, Alice Pierce, and dear friends, Tim Breukink, Lavonne Franklin, Laurie Rupke, Lisa Peters, Nikki Landon, the Moore Family, and Jill.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Phyllis Walstra; her brother, Hank Walstra; her grandson, Eric Landon; her uncle, Al Chapin; her aunt, Edna Chapin; and her cousin, Marcia Keller.

Lynda was a devoted mother who dedicated her life to raising her four boys. She worked as a waitress at Heather Hills for over 30 years, where she built lasting friendships. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, attending craft shows, ping pong, and playing cards with family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Gentiva Hospice, Fountainview, and Trinity Lutheran Church for the compassionate care given to the matriarch of their family. Your kindness and support are deeply appreciated.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, May 1, 2026, at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home, 3980 Cascade Road SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Pastor Dan Schewe will officiate.
