Linda (Loder) Wenger, 83, passed away on November 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A lifelong Michigander, Linda graduated from Flint Central High School and later attended the University of Michigan–Flint, where she pursued a degree in early education. Her love for teaching blossomed early as she worked with Tot Lot and spent many years substitute teaching, nurturing young minds with patience and joy.
Linda cherished her time at First Presbyterian Church of Flint, where she taught Sunday school and formed lasting connections within the church community. She married her former husband, Douglas Wenger, in 1964.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Olga Loder. Linda is survived by her devoted daughters, Whitney Wenger of Utica, Sarah (David) Snyder of Cascade; as well as her beloved granddaughter, Lily Snyder of Ada. Family was always at the heart of who she was.
Linda found joy in life’s simple pleasures—spending time with friends and neighbors, exploring local shops, dining out, and painting. Her creative spirit thrived through her folk art and early American art reproductions, which she lovingly created through her longtime business, Primitive Prints and Worthy Accessories.
She will be deeply missed by her many friends, neighbors, and family members.
In keeping with Linda’s wishes, no visitation or funeral will be held. A celebration of her life will take place in the spring. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
