Larry Theodore Shear was born August 3,1939, left us November 11,2024 at age 85. He was surrounded by many friends and family in Clarksville, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Shear & Thelma Miller; Great Aunt Theo; brother, Russell; friends, Ella Aspinall and Robert Purdy.
Larry is survived by his partner, Janet Allison; Son, Eric Shear; family, Dean Allison, Brenda and Tony Brown, Wendy Breen, Douglas Allison, Angela Allison, Judy Purdy; brother, Stan Shear; Sister, RaeAnn O’Connell; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Larry was an avid hunter who loved woodworking and tinkering in his garage on many different things. He was always ready to lend a hand to family and friends. He enjoyed a trip to the casino with Janet. He was a huge fan of Michigan State and the Detroit Lions and many other different sports. Larry retired from Amway after 38 years of employment. He also had an excavating business for several years. Larry loved animals, especially his many different cats over the years. He will be missed greatly for his humor and his many helpful ideas. Private Services will be held at a later date.

Janet, I’m so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of working with you and Larry at Amway. And from time to time seeing you both at keisers. Larry was always making jokes and making people smile. May the years of memories you have always keep him close.
