Larry Louis Landstra peacefully passed away, Saturday, May 11, 2024, surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Amy (Mark) Tromp, Rick Landstra, Kari (Ed) Smith; grandchildren, Jordan (Katie) Tromp, Lauren (Robert) Peek, Kalleigh, Ryleigh, and Makenna Landstra, Alec Smith, Andrea (Drew) Davis; great-grandchildren, Olivia, and Joey Tromp, Robert Peek IV, Callan Davis; brother, Richard D. (Eleanor) Landstra; along with many nieces and nephews.
Larry graduated from Lee High School in 1956. Three years later he married Karen Doezema, on August 7, 1959. From high school Larry went on to graduate from Ferris Institute with his degree in Pharmacy in 1960. He then owned and operated Greenwold’s Drug Store for 5 years and Pfeffer’s Pharmacy for 25 years. Larry worked for D&W Pharmacy in Gaslight Village until his retirement. He enjoyed time spent with family, especially at the family cottage.
Private graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Memorial Contributions can be directed to Van Andel Institute Parkinson’s Research.
