Larry F. Peard passed away peacefully on 7/29/2025, in Grand Rapids, MI after a long illness, at the age of 88.
He was born in Union City, PA, to Thelma (Peg) and Paul Peard and graduated from Union City High School in 1954.
He joined the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1957. He then received a Bachelor of Political Science from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He took a job with the Federal Government and moved to Alexandria, VA. He retired from the Defense Logistics Agency after 35 years.
After retirement, Larry could be found in his large vegetable garden or traveling the United States with an elder hostile group.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Margery (Moore) Peard and former wife Barbara (Hanlin) Peard. He is survived by his brother, Terry (Kit) Peard, his son, Eric (Jolana) Peard, his daughter, Laurie (Hal) Wood, several stepchildren, their spouses, numerous grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
The family plans an interment at Mount Comfort, Alexandria, VA., where he will be laid to rest with his wife Margery.

Never met you Larry, but you raised an awesome son. Eric and Jolana expressed their love for you always, and our prayers join theirs that you have found everlasting peace in the arms of our Lord.
We are so sorry for the loss of Larry, but so very happy that his final years were here in MI so you could see him often.
