Kira (Kireth) Jeanette Mee Rang Ellens

It is with deep sadness that we tell you about the passing of Kira (Kireth) Jeanette Mee Rang Ellens, age 43 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully Friday, September 26, 2025, after suffering a series of strokes with her parents, Gene and Jane Ellens holding her hand. Kira was born on May 17, 2001, in Seoul Korea. She was adopted at 4 months old by Gene & Jane Ellens. Kira attended Ada Christian School, Hillcrest School in Jos Nigeria, and graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High in 2001. Animals were the great love of Kira’s life, and she had multiple pets, but cats took 1^st place. She was preceded in death by her brother, Damien Ellens, her grandparents, Joe & Florence Ellens, Gerrit & Lois Berens. She will also be missed by several aunts, uncles, and cousins and her special friend, Suki, her cat. The memorial for Kira will be Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Church of the Servant, 3835 Burton Street SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
