Joyce E. Streeter passed away peacefully into the Kingdom of Heaven on August 29, 2022, after a lengthy fight with Alzheimer’s. While the last few years of her life were challenging, Joyce loved being in the company of her family and friends, particularly while watching college hoops. She loved the sound of the squeaking shoes on the basketball court! Being one for tradition, an annual pie making day filled with multiple generations of family followed by a mouthwatering Thanksgiving meal provided her such joy year after year. Joyce had a passion for traveling. Her excursions scaled the globe. Among her favorite spots was Kennebunkport, ME, where she enjoyed quiet retreats near the ocean with friends. Joyce was a prolific storyteller, and her adventures captivated the room. She loved dancing, especially with her grandchildren at weddings. This brought a smile brighter than sunshine to her face as she danced the night away! While it is sad that she is gone, her long battle with Alzheimer’s is over, and she’s now dancing with Jesus in Heaven.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth & Marie Mosher; and sister, Karen Hause. Joyce is survived by her children, Susan (Michael) Seekell, Michael (Rachelle) Streeter, Jennifer Scheuneman; grandchildren, Alex (Leslieann) Seekell, David (Gabrielle) Seekell, Chelsea (Jordan) Hill, Lindsay (A.J) Lesneski, Brittany (Phil) Lodzinski, Samantha, James, and Nick Streeter, and Emma Scheuneman; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Piper, Briar Rose, and Daxon Seekell, Hudson Hill, Kennedy Lesneski; brothers, Dale (Marilyn) Mosher, Keith (Pat) Mosher; brother-in-law, Larry Hause.
The family would like to thank the wonderful people Maple Ridge Manor and Careline Hospice for taking such good care of Joyce. Cremation has taken place and Celebration of Life is planned for a later date. Memorial Contributions in Joyce’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org/act
